Why e-Mealz?

Life is pain… by Jane

Actually life is great… it just that there are some things that have to happen EVERYDAY…. Like breathing and sleeping and eating. The eating part becomes very EVERYDAY quickly with a family, especially at dinnertime, and I start feeling like Lucy and Ethel in the candy factory. It gets away from me so quickly!

I have learned that the way to conquer the dilemma of "What's for dinner, Mom?" is with planning. But did I mention that I have four kids and that my husband is in the ministry. That means that my life is crazy, and I am on a very tight budget! So the planning only works if I tie the plan to the weekly sales at my grocery store, and average out the cost of meals over the week. But that takes hours of looking up recipes, cross-referencing to the sale flyers and compiling a grocery list. (I hate to come home with everything but the main ingredients.)

In the process of figuring all of this out, I realized that I had actually come up with a system I could share with other people… one that is concise (one page), easy to use (aisle by aisle grocery list), based on a budget (approximately $75 per week for seven meals), and kid and husband friendly (no tofu). Of course, the food has to be YUMMY (and healthful) or the kids won't eat it and all this planning doesn't help at all. Lucky for me, I am surrounded by amazing cooks with fantastic recipes. (At this point, my meal planners and I have become a massive clearinghouse for favorite family recipes.)

So admit it… keeping enough groceries in the house is a never-ending nightmare! Are you forever going to the grocery store… again? Are you always scrambling to come up with something for dinner? "Oh well, let's order pizza… again." Or are you saying to yourself, "OK, this is it! I am going to get myself on a schedule! I am going to plan meals, shop at this time every week, use coupons, blah, blah, BLAH!" Does this happen to you on consistent basis?

Well, I finally determined that not getting a grip on this meal planning thing was costing me my sanity, my family's health (too much fast food), and a lot of MONEY! I could possibly free up a significant amount of dollars by gaining control of an out-of-control situation. I could give myself a RAISE, for crying out loud! So then I asked myself, "Why keep living in this never-ending meal planning, money-pit nightmare?" You can ask yourself the same question, but for you there is an easy answer… E-Mealz!

E-Mealz becomes your "mental maid" so that you don't have lose any more of your time, energy or sanity. My team spends hours every week planning all new meals (kid-tested) for you, checking all the prices (at your favorite grocery store) so you can stick to your budget, organizing the recipes and instructions (even your husband could follow) on one easy-to-use page, and then shopping the plan so that it is laid out for you on your aisle-by-aisle grocery list. The best part is… the time and money you save will shock you, and all for $1.25 per week subscription! And I can assure you that dinner will become a joy for you instead of a pain.
